The New Tiffany Store on the Champs-Elysées
30. April 2014
A New York legend has arrived on one of the most famous boulevards in the world, bringing the essence of American glamour and over 175 years of design excellence to the Champs-Elysées.
The 10,000-square-foot space represents a new milestone in Tiffany’s legacy in the City of Light, which began in 1868 when the company established its first retail location in the French capital. Nestled among luxury and specialty stores, our latest flagship store is situated at the intersection of the Champs-Elysées and Rue la Boétie within view of the Arc de Triomphe.
A grand staircase wends its way through three floors housing bridal and high jewelry salons, private viewing rooms and such celebrated collections as Tiffany Keys and Atlas®. Interior design touches include a custom chandelier of cascading lights, Calacatta marble surfaces and hand-leafed magnolia sconces by New York City-based artist Michelle Oka Doner.
“Our store at 62, Champs-Elysées is the ultimate symbol of Tiffany as a truly global luxury brand,” says Frederic Cumenal, president, Tiffany & Co. “This is the preeminent location that firmly places Tiffany & Co. on an international stage, in the heart of a city where people from all over the world come to visit and shop.”
To mark the opening of the Paris flagship store, the famed Tiffany Diamond will travel from its home in New York and be on display starting June 10 for a limited time. Cut in Paris by master craftsmen in 1878, this 128.54-carat stone is the most famous yellow diamond on earth and the centerpiece of a spectacular exhibition celebrating Tiffany’s brilliant legacy.
